CensHERship (a name that already existed—I didn’t come up with it, I swear) is a nonprofit that aims to tackle social media censorship of women’s health content.
Women’s health content is constantly being scrubbed from Meta platforms for using so-called “dirty,” “explicit” words like pregnancy, breast, vagina, period, and more. But these words have never been dirty.
To show these women’s health terms for what they truly are—completely, undeniably clean—we created CensHERship Soap Bars.
*Each bar was available for a $5 donation, with proceeds funding the purchase of Meta shares. This allowed CensHERship to represent and bring real women’s stories and experiences with censorship directly to Meta’s leadership.
